Dog Trench Coat Design Philosophy

Why We Designed a Dog Waterproof Trenchcoat Around Real-Life Problems

A dog raincoat should do more than keep your dog dry.
When we designed our waterproof cotton dog trench coat, we started with a simple question: What makes a dog coat genuinely easy to live with?
Because in everyday life, the challenge is rarely just rain. It is finding a coat that fits your dog's body, works with the harness they already wear, is easy to put on and does not turn getting dressed into a stressful experience.
1. Protection should not mean sacrificing natural materials
We chose 100% cotton for the outer fabric and added water-resistant functionality.
The result is a dog raincoat that feels and looks more like a refined everyday trench coat, while still providing practical protection when the weather turns wet.
For us, functionality starts with choosing materials that feel good in everyday use — not simply adding as many technical features as possible.
2. Dogs don't come in one standard shape
A dog may fit the chest measurement of a size perfectly but still have a completely different back length from another dog.
That is why we added a hidden back-length adjustment of 5–10 cm.
Instead of forcing different body shapes into one fixed proportion, the coat can adapt to the dog.
We also added an adjustable waist belt, allowing the chest area to be reduced by up to 10 cm. This helps create a closer fit without making the coat unnecessarily restrictive.
3. Your dog shouldn't have to change their harness
Many dogs already have a harness they are comfortable wearing.
We didn't want a raincoat to interfere with that.
The coat features a hidden zipper opening on the back, allowing access for the leash connection and making it compatible with different types of harnesses.
No need to change the walking setup simply because it started raining.
4. Getting dressed should not become a stressful moment
Some dogs simply don't like clothing being pulled over their head.
For sensitive dogs, even a small change in the dressing process can make a difference.
The collar of our dog trench coat can be opened before putting the coat on, allowing the garment to be introduced more gently instead of forcing it over the dog's head.
It is a small detail — but small details are often what make a product work better in real life.
Designed around dogs, not just measurements
We believe good pet design should start with how dogs and their owners actually live.
That means thinking beyond a size chart:
Can the dog move comfortably?
Can the coat work with the harness they already use?
Can the fit adapt to different body proportions?
Can it be put on without unnecessary stress?
And does it still look beautiful enough for everyday life?
Our waterproof cotton dog trench coat was designed around these questions.
Because the best dog clothing isn't simply clothing that looks good.
It is clothing that quietly makes everyday life easier — for both dogs and the people who care for them.
